A fresh alternative to Sunday worship
Messy Church is church like you've never seen it before! Church can feel judgy and awkward, especially for families with young children or special needs.
Messy Church is different! Messy Church is welcoming, intergenerational, and fun! Children and Tweens participate in activities and crafts together around a central theme for the gathering. After 45-60 mins of crafts, activities, and fun, families move to the sanctuary for interactive celebration worship with song and stories. After a 10-15 min worship time, everyone gathers back in the dining area for a delicious meal.
What should I expect?
You should expect to have fun and get to know other children and families from our community? It's not churchy or formal - Messy Church is casual and relaxed.
When you arrive, you will be greeted warmly and invited to make a name tag. Craft and activity tables will be available to rotate through in the fellowship hall. Find your first spot and half fun, but make sure you save some time for the other activities. During Celebration Time, we move to the sanctuary to sing, play, and celebrate what we are learning about God that day. Afterward, we move back to the Fellowship Hall for our community meal.
Hey Parents & Grandparents!
Parents, grandparents, and guardians should stay with their kids and grandkids throughout Messy Church. This is meant to be a time of building relationships and connections. Messy Church works best as an intergenerational time, not a drop-off ministry.
What should I wear?
Wear what's comfortable! Jeans, boots, crocs, t-shirts! This isn't a stuffy, formal church service. This is a time to laugh, play, and create! Remember, things might get messy!
