June 9, 2021 Weekly Update
Hi friends!
We’re seeing a lot of rain and wet weather this week, and it’s a good thing for our valley, our gardens, and our flowers. In Isaiah, God reminds God’s people that – like rain falling from the sky – God’s deepest desire is for “righteousness,” AKA right and healthy relationships, to cover all the earth. Salvation, like spring flowers or green grass, will spring up when people are in right relationship with God and one another. Human beings will experience flourishing and eternal love in this divinely crafted creation. At least, that God’s hope and mission!
So when you weave in between the raindrops and puddles, or cross the swollen streams and rivers, ask yourself, “How am I doing my part to help righteousness and love spring up for God’s kingdom?” If you think of something you’re already doing, give thanks to God for using you and your gifts! If nothing comes to mind, offer up a prayer and look for the Spirit to open a new door or opportunity.
Blessings,
Pastor Jared
