May 12, 2021 Weekly Update
This morning during my drive to Columbia Falls, I was amazed by the weather phenomenon I witnessed in the canyon. The low clouds seemed like they filled every nook and cranny of the canyon valley. On other parts of the mountain landscape, the clouds looked like they were hugging the peaks and slopes. It was breathtaking.
As I watched the clouds, the words from the piece “Spirit Song” filled my heart.
Oh, let the Son of God enfold you with his Spirit and his love, Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul. Oh, let him have the things that hold you, and his Spirit, like a dove, Will descend upon your life and make you whole.
We’ve been talking quite a bit about living the resurrection and how we are called to give and be love to ourselves, our community, and our world. God’s love, like the clouds in the canyon this morning, fills every nook and cranny of our heart, mind, and soul. And when we realize that truth, it is a beautiful reality to behold.
What are some ways we can live out the love of the resurrection in our midst? We’ve got lots of opportunities below!
We still need 3-4 people to help out for a few days during VBS – getting together snacks, checking in children, helping the staff from Flathead Lake Bible Camp manage kids as we go from place to place.
We’re collecting funds to purchase a graduating gift for our seminary student Courtney Von Lindern.
We’ve got a church cleanup day this Saturday to spruce up our campus with little projects. Everyone can help and be involved!
Blessings,
Pastor Jared
