November 13, 2024 Weekly Update
What does it mean to trust God with all that we have and all that we are? That was the focus last Sunday as we reflected on Jesus’ invitation to the rich young ruler to sell all he had and follow Jesus. The hard part was having faith that God’s direction for that man’s life – generosity, gratitude, and discipleship – was better than the agendas and plans the man had for himself.
It can be like that for us, too. Sometimes we wrestle with God about our gifts, time, and resources. But God’s will for us is good and helps grow God’s kingdom. When we live into our calling to live generous lives, we discover strengthened faith, eternal joy, and contentment.
Last Sunday at our Town Hall Potluck, our Leadership Board shared all the ways your gifts of money, energy, time, and prayer have helped us sustain our mission work, our ministry, and our campus. I hope the Board’s transparency and summary demonstrates that God is blessing our ministry and guiding our future. If you missed the town hall, click on the buttons below to read a quick summary or scroll through the PowerPoint pdf.
I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday as we offer our pledges to God for 2025! Can’t make a pledge, or already submitted it? We WANT you to come to worship! We all have ways we offer our lives to God, and this service will be a time to reflect on that call together.
Blessings,
Pastor Jared
