November 20, 2024 Weekly Update

Jared   -

Worship last Sunday reminded us that God’s love has overflowed in our lives in so many ways. In response to God’s goodness and grace, we are invited to “take the plunge” into the flow of God’s love and give back to God and the church. Folks in worship tossed a pebble into our river to symbolize commitment to our congregation in the year ahead.

We give because we feel bold to approach God because of God’s gift through Jesus – shattering obstacles to God’s steadfast love.

We give because we want to hold fast to the hope that God is working in us and among us to bring God’s kingdom.

We give because we are mindful that when we gather and pray and sing and serve – we are in the presence of God in our community.

Our giving may cause an ‘ouch’, but it is a joyful ouch because it brings joy to God, and it helps us discover eternal joy and lasting contentment in the refreshing waters of God’s love.

In response to God’s goodness, bounty, and grace, what is your “joyful ouch”? 33 folks have returned pledge cards for our 2025 ministry budget so far. If you didn’t return yours yet, please do so soon. The Leadership Board understands that not everyone is in a position to make a financial commitment. But if you can, it helps the church plan well. You can mail, email,or drop it off. If you need help remembering your current pledge amount, just ask Ann in the office.

You can also submit a confidential pledge using this online form. https://forms.gle/CSiePPpUxzAKpXEF7

See you Sunday as we celebrate Reign of Christ/Christ the King Sunday! I’ll be on my guitar for one of our hymns and our celebration will offer gratitude for the selfless leadership of Jesus, our savior. See you in person or online!

Blessings,
Pastor Jared
