January 15, 2025 Weekly Update

Jared   -

Last Sunday we hosted the first Messy Church Columbia Falls. After 8 months of planning, our planning team arrived to set up, prep, and begin cooking. We had great energy and by all accounts it was a success! We connected with two NEW families from the community, we had 11 children, and a total crowd of 40, including 21 adults and volunteers! Woohoo!

We explored the theme of Jesus as the light of the world through candles, flashlights, paper lanterns, shadows, and song! Here are some images from our first gathering. As a pastor AND a parent, let me say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who donated supplies, cooked, prepared & hosted activities, and participated in making our first gathering feel welcoming and warm to the new people we met!

We are helping children and families explore faith formation with creativity and positive, Christ-like interactions. In a world where budgets are tight, and families feel stretched or hurried, one parent commented “It’s nice to have something a family can do together that doesn’t cost money.”

Blessings,
Pastor Jared
