Happy Fifth Day of Christmas church!
I hope you are still marveling at the birth of our infant Savior and feeling the glow of the light that casts out all darkness. Our two Christmas Eve services brought lots of light and love into my life and our world. I hope you were able to mark the holiness of the night with us in person, online, or in your own special way. It was lovely to see many faces and hear many voices sing and pray together. Thank you to all our musicians, readers, ushers, greeters, and helpers who made our Christmas worship so special this year!
Over the weekend we learned that one bright light among us – a living saint – passed on to life eternal. Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and a strong voice for compassion and justice, was known for his anti-apartheid activism in South Africa. As the world mourns his loss and seeks to follow in his footsteps, here’s one of his well-known quotes inviting us into the journey of God’s mission of healing love for all people:
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
Christmas blessings,
Pastor Jared
